Pakistan: We will not allow foreign troops to operate inside our territory
UNITED NATIONS: Pakistan told the UN Security Council on Tuesday that it will not allow foreign troops to operate inside sovereign Pakistani territory, while reaffirming the democratic government’s commitment to combat extremism and terrorism. ‘Sensitive to the sentiments of our people, the new democratic government is in the process of reaching the national consensus necessary to confront and defeat the terrorists,’ acting Pakistan Ambassador Farukh Amil said during a debate on the worsening situation in Afghanistan.
