Afghanistan: British soldier killed in Helmand province

A British soldier was killed in Helmand province on Monday, the defence ministry said. The soldier was part of a team patrolling the Marjah area of Helmand on foot and was shot by an Islamist Taliban militia. He was evacuated to a medical facility, but died as a result of his injuries.
